National Weather Service meteorologist Victor Murphy told The Associated Press that Texas' 86.8 degree Fahrenheit average beat out Oklahoma's 85.2 degrees in 1934.
That Dust Bowl year is now third on the list for the three-month span, behind No. 2 Oklahoma's heat wave this June through August at 86.5 degrees.
Going further, does anyone knows about humidity levels through those months? They say Texas is a very humid place in summer, but it doesn't seem so...at least not if you compair it with tropical places' humidity, which are always above 60% all summer long.

The further west in Texas you go, the lower the humidity. Eastern Texas has 60% humidity or greater. Actually, about the whole eastern half of the U.S. has humidity levels around 60% or more. I live in the northeast and my humidity is usually around 60%-65% during the day.
U.S. weather can be summed up as tropical summers, Scandinavian winters

In the Dallas area the humidity during the daytime is much lower than 60%. In fact, right now it is 86 degrees and the humidity is only 17%. Anywhere along the Mississippi River or east toward the coast, the humidity is much higher.

Scandinavian winters? even places like NYC have warmer winters than most of Scandinavia.
I really feel for you folks down there. I could barely stand the heat here in Canada let alone down in the deep south. Makes me sweat just thinking about it.
