Do Seattle and Vancouver area experience strong Santa Ana winds events during autumn and early winter?
Or are they pretty unlikely anywhere north of Oregon?

Windstorm are not the same as katabatic winds such as Santa Ana.
So, if an high pressure system located over the Great Basin creates Santa Ana dry, katabatic winds in California during autumn or winter season, a given winter high pressure over the Canadian prairies would theorically create the same kind of dry, strong katabatic winds in either Portland, Seattle or Vancouver.
Am I right?
