I feel like there have been earthquakes recently than before. Is it just me or has there been an increase?

The way I think about it, either the media is reporting on it more often than in the past, or the stresses on the boundaries are finally being released after being pent up for a long time. When tectonic plate boundaries are not moving, that's stress building up on the boundaries that's bound to be released at some point in the future

One can review the highly ununsual earthquake activity that's been going on earlier this month in central Oklahoma at Oklahoma Earthquake Page

I had an earthquake dream last night. It hit while on my way home from work. I was on an un collapsed portion of the Alaskan Way Viaduct, holding on for dear life. When the shaking finally stopped, there was damage to a lot of buildings, the space needle hadn't fallen over, but it was leaning, and minutes after the quake very large waves swept onto the waterfront into the lower portions of Downtown Seattle. After the waves stopped, I was somehow able to climb down the viaduct then I woke up. Hope it's not premonition!
