Yup, though I get up later, so I don't mind. I'm not a fan of early sunrises, especially when I come home on weekends and it's already bright outside, have to fall asleep in the increasing daylight.
Is it a race? Then I put my €€€ on Jakobsli!
I usually leave home at about 6:45ish because of school at 7:30 and father's work at 7:00. (10 km distance)
So early sunrise is essential. With a sunrise later than 6.15, that time, 6:45am is still some dark (it still feels like civil twilight) with overcast sky.
Oppositely, I'm not a fan of late sunsets. In tropics and subtropics it makes the evening hotter. (sun angle can be almost exactly overhead in summer) Thats maybe the reason why countries in the subtropics (like japan, brisbane) and tropics (like indonesia) don't use DST, because it will make the sunset later, that's make waste of A/C.
For example, though the latest sunset in Jakarta (Indonesia capital) only 6.17pm, but it's exhausting enough (imagine 35c)
Thats really quick! 20 minutes after it would still be daylight here.
Tropics are famous for their ridiculously quick sunrise and sunset. 30 minutes before sunrise is usually pitch black. It could be mistaken for the middle of the night.
We had twilight until about 10:30 PM yesterday, or 90 minutes after sunset.
A pitch dark 30 minutes before surise? This is only possible on these dark gloomy overcast days in December- it can be dark until after 8 AM then, while the sun rises about 8:40ish.
