It's irritating to be so near, yet so far from the kind of summer twilight you get. When the conditions are right we do get a few nights when you can legitimately say it doesn't get completely dark, but we don't quite get nautical twilight lasting all night even at the solstice - it's certainly nothing like some of the pictures you've posted.

You must get more than two months with better twilights than the best my latitude has to offer even though you're probably only about 700 km further north - no more than a full day's drive.

Who would want that though? In university now, if there's music and i'm kept awake, dawn starts at 4am, then the birds start chirping and I get no sleep.

As I said previously, my ideal daylight schedule would be 6:30am-10:30pm with little to no twilight. Twilight at ungodly hours just seems uncivilised.

Tbh, getting a break from the early sunrises is something I really enjoy about going to Spain or another Southern location over the summer. Those early sunrises get very old.

Me? I've never seen the midnight sun but I've seen it when it's still bright enough to read outside at 1 am, and it just feels almost like magic because you instinctively feel it isn't meant to be that way. Same thing here in midsummer when it's only 3 am and part of the sky is already quite a strong blue - the fact I'm only awake to see it once or twice a year adds to the weirdness of it.

Re. sleep, apart from the noise thing if you had decent blinds/shutters instead of just curtains I don't see why it should stop you sleeping that much, it's not like I get woken up at 4 or 5 in the summer as it is. Sunrise times are basically irrelevant to me unless they are after about 7.30 am.

Well, maybe if it lasted a week. But where i'm from originally, it's still daylight to 11pm for 4/5 weeks and that's enough for me.
