It's a personal preference, for sure, but unhealthy? Why? Being warmly dressed in a cool house hasn't given us any health problems.

I suspect you just like to be warm, because 70 is not the least bit chilly to me.

You just don't like it because you want a 4 season climate

I physically get cold at outdoor temps under 60 and indoor temps under 75

I was mostly joking, but I honestly don't find any season appealing here. Would you be saying the same to a warm weather lover who lived in a locale with mild summers who claimed to not have pleasant weather because they want hot summers? I bet not.

To give a realistic answer, I would say 10-50 days out of the year do we have "good" weather.

No surprise, looking at where you live. You're adapted to heat. Don't assume that everyone is like you. I live in a cold city in central Canada. My ideal room temperature is 65 for normal activity and 55 for sleeping. Outdoors, anything above 60 (in sun) or 75 (in shade) makes me feel hot.

I can even sleep comfortably in a room at 45 degrees if I have 2-3 blankets. Anything lower than that is uncomfortable.

In summer, I am forced to adapt to a sleeping temperature of 60 degrees because my air conditioner refuses to cool below that. And this is with a fan blowing air on me all night. I always look forward to fall when I can bring my bedroom back into the 50s.
