It is always green here in the McAllen, Texas area. While we do get cold snaps in the winter, there is only one season down here - summer.

Last year we didn't see widespread greening and flowering until May.

Hopefully that happens again this year.

I'm already seeing some flowering and buds up here. I'm honestly shocked that there is budding and flowering happening in mid-February at 51°N. Imagine that happening in Calgary or northern Newfoundland.

Yes, both those places it can be early june, especially Newfoundland, early to mid june is normal

Even here in balmy southern Ontario at 43N ...notoriously cool springs like last year,
it was into May.

... You do realise that its February right?? Ergo, still winter. You shouldn't see ANY sign of spring yet... because its not spring!!!!

Everything is white up here lol. It'll be white for quite a while as there's no highs above freezing in the forecast.

Last year we started leafing out right at the end of April and beginning of May. By late May it was already fully green. Last April was the snowiest on record, though. When I visited in late April 2017 it was super green and many trees were leafing out. If you go on the right streets, you didn't see a single bare tree. The irony is that year it was snowing on May 1st.

I think it's mid April if I remember right. So looking forward to the renewal of life.

I know my Azalea bush is weeks behind normal for blooming. No flowers yet.

Me too. Its crazy how fast it happens, even when it drags on. Last year in April we went from a foot of snow to dandelions within a whole week.

In DC, signs of spring (flowers, buds, leaves) appear around mid-march (though this year they appeared in mid-late february) and everything is in full leaf my mid-may (sometimes late may).
