I'll give it a G. Voted F since there is no G option.

E. That precipitation rate is truly awful. Neither winter nor spring/autumn. The only positive point is that the average and record highs aren't extremely hot.

C for me. The lack of rain is terrible, but the temps and reasonable dew points help.

F. Not a large seasonal temperature range, but at least it's comfortable weather. AND DID I SAY THEY GET THREE DANG TENTHS OF AN INCH OF RAIN ALL YEAR? If they got more rain, I'd probably rate a D.

3/100 rather than 3/10ths. 30-year average is 0.6mm, but as I showed in an earlier post it has been even drier than Arica over the last 17 years. Sunshine is very good at 2790 hours, temperatures quite pleasant. A- is consistent with my likes.

It's WORSE than that- Only three HUNDREDTHS of an inch all year on the average means many years don't see a single drop...

Check out what happens when they get LESS than one hundred of a drizzle in a day- Check out these MAJOR weather headlines...

People make fun of weatherless Los Angeles for making major headlines over rain showers but I think even a "typical" Los Angeles rain (maybe third of an inch) would DEVASTATE Iquique to the point of needing major international aid.

"Worse" is your term!

There's a nice hotel at a nearby beach. Not everyone craves weather excitement!

Incidentally, Iqiuque did have almost 10mm rain in June 2002.
