You went at an interesting time with the tropical feed going all the way up there.
Regarding not feeling as oppressive. I always felt soil type, vegetation, and air flow matter in how it feels even at the same DP temp.
The only thing that bugged me was A/C at our place in Toronto which was very noisy and functioning even when it was 21c and cloudy. The host insisted on closing windows at all time to keep it running, which was completely absurd to us. I mean if it's cooler outside, why not leave the windows open ? Those people would not survive a week here.

I think Its the skin being used to drier conditions. I bet it was still humid when it was 21c. Also, stuffyness inside doesnt leave easy even at 70F. I bet they didnt want warm humid air coming in so was easier to tell everyone to keep windows closed. Usually people have control of the AC/Heat unit though.

Lol. Sorry. Its kinda interesting though how we experience tropical conditions and arctic like conditions in a given year.
Much of or the whole Midwest probably will have their coldest winter or one of the coldest winters on modern record for 2018-2019, it’s still summer and I am ALREADY dreading this upcoming fall and winter season.
