UK posters tend to randomly debate and argue about our benign weather in the Un happy and happy thread so why not discuss and debate (diplomatically) in this thread?
So posting UK climate charts, historical data, average conditions, UK climate predictions and UK related weather events belong here not randomly across the forum.
OK...got to 30C here today for the first time this year, despite being oop north in Yaaaarkshire, where according to some people on here we have a hellish arctic climate and the sun never shines. It took its time though - the temperature didn't even break 27C until after 5pm, and the hourly high was at 7pm.
Do you mean diplomatically? If so, then I doubt it. We're not very diplomatic on here, not the British posters anyway. We're all so angry!
Anyway, yeah, we reached 30C today. My personal station reached 30.9C, Church Fenton reached 30.8C, and Linton-on-Ouse reached 30.0C on the dot. It's the first 30C since 2011 in this part of the world. It will last just as long as it did then too with a big drop tomorrow.
Indeed. Heathrow is almost always the hotspot. I think the tarmac and planes might influence the station a bit as the actual sensor isn't too far from the runway.
I know experts have questioned the Gravesend station and the 2003 record because it is close to metal, so maybe Heathrow could be questioned too? I dunno.
On topic: the UK has the worst climate ever I hate it it's always rainy gloomy and miserable even NI has better weather and the UK is always snowy as well and everything is just terrible foggy terrible shi*e.
