The irritating thing is that if we were 500 miles nort hwe would have a subarctic climate with subzero winters.

The annoying thing is that Saranac lake, NY 250 miles north gets temperatures as low as -35 F with plenty of sunshine, and we barely touch 0 F here in NJ. WHY!!!!!!!!!. If its freaking cold, let it at least be below 0 F . I want to see some negative numbers.

Ungrateful!
Do you really want -20 to -40°C temps? I thought your ideal range was 0°C to -10°C

I'm just kidding. Moose Jaw's winters aren't as bad as I thought though - a bit colder than ideal, but nothing exceptional. Milder than Winnipeg. I'd take their winters over here any day.

I don't think it's gonna go below 0c here for quite along time. We did reach it on the 11th October but that was very lucky to be honest, most other places didn't. Everything is going to be really late because of this mild nonsense, I think my next frost will be like 20th November which is very delayed. 2 frosts in eight weeks is mad.

Snow might be December to be honest at this rate.

HA! If you lived near Bridgeport you would appreciate where you are. I just looked at the extreme dailies for Sussex in NW NJ and they are 10-20 below zero! That is not bad! That means it does get cold there.
Bridgeport has never seen that in any day any month since records started 1948.
Sussex New Jersey normal lows are in the teens! That means single digits are achievable and seasonable. But I get your point... If its going to be cold, let it be sub zero!

I just wish my temps stay below 32F during the day for more than 3 days at a time in the winter.
