That'd be close to normal, the average first freeze here occurs on November 24th, the past four have occurred in December though.

Yeah, I think our area south of Lat 42°N is pathetic for cold unless your higher than 1500'. And to think people complain around here in the winter is just always so funny.
so your saying that I don't have anything to complain about here in the winter?

LOL
Your winter is so cold that reminds very closely of a summer to the rest of the temperate 4 seasons world, just saying

That is exactly what he is saying. Your average lows remain above 15C all year - who are you trying to kid, Mr?

Nice! Your area reminds me of a Danbury, CT but a bit colder. I haven't been "below" 32F yet. I think Danbury 4 times.

No. I think Portugal will see the first freeze tonight in Penhas Douradas at 1400 meters of altitude, not far from where I live.
As for my location I don't think that will happen in the next couple of days, but we are getting closer and closer, tonight's low will dropp to 3ºC, and a 1ºC low in this next week is bound to happen.

This has been my most successful thread so far. Not surprisingly, I created it out of frustration after scrapping ice off my car. Keep it going guys.

Our first day below 32 degrees this year was October 7th. Tonight, Oct 28th, it's supposed to get down to 12 degrees. Gorgeous sunny day today - it might have gotten up to around 40! I spent an hour trying to use up the gas in my lawnmower. At least we don't have snowpack yet!

Northern MN between Duluth and International Falls.

Fairbanks, AK (summary of pineapple express October)

First freeze this month was last month... Sept 27. (3rd latest on record)

Snow so far... 0.8 inches in late September that melt. Just Flurries in October.

We have hit 50 numerous times this October and even 60 once. Mostly been in lower 40s.

Hit 52 today. Every day this ”fall/winter" has warmed up enough to get above freezing.

First brown thanksgiving in 75 years or something... It's been great, kind of weird though since the sun is only up 9:30-5:30
