If that's your forecast, we should be looking at some ice days here, and certainly some pretty cold nights. As with all our forecasts though, they're quite likely to change. I'll plan for 9C and overcast.
I find it hard to believe that just 6 years ago, it fell to -17C here, and several other nights were below -10C. I wasn't here either, so unfortunately I missed out on it. Bloody work.
Yeah, December 2010 was truly special. The kind of month you tell your grandchildren about. During the peak of the cold spell my boiler broke and the pipes froze - was bloody freezing but I enjoyed it anyway!
Ice day for Linton on Ouse today. High of -0.1C. I'm guessing it was foggy all day there, whereas here in York it was sunny most of the day, so a few degrees warmer unfortunately. Driving around England today must've been interesting though!

Yeah - we had thick fog last night but it cleared before sunrise. We reached 4C with sunshine from dawn til dusk.
Shame it all ends tomorrow with cloud and highs of 9-10C.
