Not with this Finnish massive insulation, double glazed big windows, thick walls and the flat facing SW. Takes a week to cool down the building to those 21ish temperatures. Seriously. During the night I'm able to lose a couple of degrees or maybe 1.5C to be realistic, but it's quickly regained as the sun starts to shine.

When the outside temps are around 21C, then it's not a problem. And I'm don't complaining, I had to use a blanket again from 15-30 June, when normally sleeping only with the duvet cover this time of the year.

Can't you open your bigwindows and put a window fan in? Cross ventilation? With enough windows and non-hot nights a fan should do well. Fans are a big help when outside is cool enough but indoors heated up, so you just need to blast cool outdoor air in. Fans don't work so well when the evening doesn't cool down, as in still 80°F outside at sunset.

Right now 78°F outside, 83°F inside. Just started raining and a temperature drop. Should cool down inside.

I still haven't installed my window unit. Just been sleeping with the fan and window open. Not ideal, but it hasn't been unbearable. Maybe I'll cave if we get a pro-longed spell of heat and/or humidity.

Clear

28C @ 08:00 at Vega island (65 N).

We might acutally get a warmer day today than yesterday.
Cold the All-time high for Norway be broken today or the next day?
Some stations already passed 30C / 87F @ 11:00

At least 7 weather stations with "tropical nights" last night. Including Trolltinden mountain (436 m asl) on Andøya, protruding into the Norwegian sea at nearly 69 N - minimum 21.2C there last night. And this is the second "tropical night" during this "heatwave" at that "Arctic" mountain.
