Nowhere in mainland Britain, but Lerwick in the Shetland Islands certainly can - the max temp in 2007 was 16.8C.

I have tried to find the record low for Røst, and found an article where the Norwegian met.office searched for the coldest temperatures in December and January, and the coldest record low for these two months at Røst is -12.4C / 9.7F recorded 18. January 1966. http://www.lofotposten.no/lokale_nyh...cle4791071.ece
To bad they didn't search for February as well. However, the record low in February will not be very different from January, but could be 1C colder.
Coldest low last winter at Røst was -5C recorded 12. January 2014. Weather statistics for Røst (Nordland)
Coldest low for the winter before was -7.2C recorded 9. March 2013.

Btw, warmest high last summer was 21.5C recorded June 1.

Seriously, am I the only one who didn't vote for Toronto?!

Rost would definitely feel more wintry to me.

It's not as cold but...67°N, guys! Much, much, much less light and probably way more overcast as well!

-7°C south of Nice (there are places within a 2-hour drive of here with colder averages) - implying 8am/5pm sun times and acceptably bright light - is nowhere as wintry as -3°C with NO sun above the horizon for 10 days...(December) and ****ty daylight and terrible sun times for the whole winter.
