Almost all of MA is now below freezing above 4000'. RAP shows ORH at 32° at 3k feet. Bet you mixing is going on there or on some hills. Worchester still at 40 at the surface reporting rain at 1000'.
Whenever one is right on the edge of snow or mixing it usually just takes is a bit of elevation to push one over the edge, so I wouldn't be surprised.

Most of Maine is a week or so later than usual for the measurable snow, but that tardiness will be more than made up for by magnitude - not many seasons start right off the bat with a windy one-footer.
On that note.. Guess where the Upper Level Low is now... Changover happening coincidental? Nope. Cold air is rushing down like The Day After Tomorrow movie. LOL!!
