My home one. The official site reached -2.9C and 12.9C. I only use the official station after the event, as they don't have live feeds. It's also over 20km away, plus three valleys over. Where I was working yesterday (about 30 km away) , still had -4C on the thermometer at about 10.00am.
Moderately high diurnal range is a feature of my climate and other regions in NZ. 15C for a whole winter month is a big average here, but I don't think I've seen a month below 10C. Other regions can see months with a 21C average. My area is unusual for having a combination of reasonably large diurnal range and rainfall totals. I don't think anywhere in the world can match it for a coastal location. It's a climate that warms quickly, cools quickly and rains hard.
