69 F in Stuart? You lucky little ****. It's 78 F here, it was drizzling for most of my walk and started raining a bit harder towards the end. There was a nice breeze, certainly felt nicer than usual.

Wasn't meant to imply anything. Just amused a bit at your surprise. And the song is kinda entertaining.

In this hotel there are lots of soldiers. They will hold the door and open it for them.

We were in an elevator with a soldier today and a man actually stopped the door to say "I respect what you are doing sir".

Idk..

Well America is a white country so it's a little odd to find a major city majority black.

Maybe in DC soldiers get more respect? I've heard they do in the south in general. I haven't seen that before.

Haha, our AC conveniently decided to be a piece of **** and stop working properly tonight. Could have been on of the days we hit 96.. Think something was just a bit clogged. Windows open and breeze blowing in. Don't even have my fan on. DP 68 F.

Umm, the US is known for being rather racially segregated, with blacks in inner city areas. But Maryland is about 30% black; it's the whole region.

Ditto.

I respect the soldiers and everything, but I feel people in this country worship them a bit too much. And I know a lot of soldiers who take advantage of this preferential treatment all the time.
