All of them are pretty decent but if I had to choose it'd be Denver for the seasonality as well as the generally dry conditions. Portland, San Diego, and Seattle come in closely at second.
I put SD a hair over Denver because I'm projecting what most people will want. For me the front range is excellent. Portland and Seattle have dreadful climates. I lived in Portland from birth until I was old enough to make my own choices about where to live.
When adjusting for cost of living, Denver (and moreover Colorado Springs) wins by a mile.
It's cliche to say San Diego but........it's San Diego.
I don't like rain, snow or cold weather so, yeah. And if anyone might think I would get sick of the same thing day after day after day, I've lived in SD and LA both and never got tired of it for one minute.
Seattle, Portland are out due to 7 months of rain, drizzle and gray overcast. Depressing.
Denver and SLC are out due to 30 snow days a year. Inconvenient.
San Diego is out because the climate is boring. No seasonal variation.
This leaves Sacramento. The climate is underrated: while 90's and low 100's are common in the summer, the humidity is low and the mornings and evenings are very pleasant. Snow in non-existent. Winters are mild but cold and wet enough to provide seasonality. For the period June 1 to Sep 30, Sacramento is the sunniest city on Earth averaging 14 hours of sun per day. Except for the occasional heat wave Sacramento ranks high on the comfortable T-shirt weather list.
There's no way it could possibly average 14 hours of sun a day anytime past September 1.
I vote Salt Lake City. Denver has too mild of highs in winter. Seattle, Sacramento and Portland are all far too mild. San Diego, well I don't even need to explain why I hate that climate.

SLC/Denver are out because they get snow. Denver is an awesome place, but we're talking snow here and that is an automatic disqualifier for me when talking strictly about weather.
Seattle/Portland don't get much snow and don't get too hot in the summer. They can both see heat waves, but "hot" isn't typical in the coastal PNW. When I lived in Seattle I absolutely loved the weather, which is nothing like most think.
Sacramento/SD both seem to have awesome weather but could be too hot for many.
I love mountain west climates. Very sunny and four definitive season. My only problem with them is the fact that snow can fall at pretty much any time of year save for the middle of summer. I love snow, but I want it relegated to the late Nov - March period. Snow before Halloween would bother me. This is why my ideal climate is basically a cooler sunnier Philadelphia. It's still sunny with four seasons, but the seasons don't get mixed up half way through.
Given that that's not on the menu, my second choice is just as much pleasant weather as possible. I'll take San Diego.
Also, LA, San Fran, Vegas, and Phoenix aren't on this poll? What's going on?
