Banff Alberta because it has more heat potential than Banff Scotland and it has more snow. Plus I would wager that Banff Alberta is a lot sunnier than Banff Scotland. Plus, most climates in north Europe suck especially ones near the top of the UK.
Canada easily. The Scottish one is abysmal - even Scotland has climates with 250-300 more hours of sunshine.
I'm a sunshine lover myself, but I have to be reasonable here. The Canadian one is way too cold and snowy in the winter (I wouldn't endure that just for the relatively decent sunshine hours).
At least the Scottish one doesn't get that cold, despite its unrelenting gloominess.
Banff, Canada has Chinook Winds that turn Winter into Summer for a day or two in the dead of Winter.
Leonardo diCaprio personally experienced these Banff Chinook Winds and thought that the sky was falling - that dramatic!
Wow this is a really tough one. Any idea what Banff's sunshine hours are? Looks like a beautiful place.
