Seems pretty common sense to me. Your streets must be empty on rainy days.
Whats your obsession with covered pavements jeez.

Our shopping streets are not empty on rainy days if that was the case anywhere north of brimingham would be dead 24/7.

Because you're outside? I mean no offense but if you don't want to get wet or hot then don't be outside lol.

Joe's always talking about how he loves climates with plentiful rainfall throughout the year, then complains about a bit of drizzle when shopping. A real hothouse flower that one.

Is it a culture thing over in Australia and New Zealand? They seem to have every inch of pavement covered. Its a bit ridiculous to me

Sure, but is every single street a historical themepark? Don't be prisoners to your past.

Sure, but who wants to drink coffee in the rain, and stand around talking under an umbrella?

A different climate to yours. You would probably see things differently if you lived here

Why be outside if you're not prepared or don't want to handle the elements? Some people (like me) find it kind of fun to try and handle the elements of mother nature.

I can understand Australia as their summers everywhere bar Tasmania has the potential to get very hot and the sun is strong. But NZ? Are your summers really that hot to need covered pavements?

It might be different for you, but if I want taste of the elements, I don't go to town for it.
