There are hotels which ask for more than 5.000€ for a single night in their best suite. Or even more.

A top vacation in a top class resort in Tenerife would cost easily more than 10.000€ if you include a boat rental for a weekend. I'm talking about a small boat for leisure, like a small sailboat. Not something big.

At the same time you can spend a decent week vacation for 500€ although it doesn't count the food rather than the breakfast. Btw, give me 10.000£ and I would travel 5-6 entire months across the globe.

I have no idea how you can spend $10,000 in a single week on a holiday. Maybe if you travel to Manhattan staying at literally the most expensive hotels and shopping Sex in the City-style. Whatever, it's not my money

Yeah, that's my point. Flaming suggested some 5 star hotel.. Does he not know that 5 star hotels are £500 a night minimum?

I always stay in 4 star hotels and I'm happy enough doing that. I don't see the need to stay in the Ritz, but whatever.

Your perception is different to pretty much most peoples...

You were on here moaning a few weeks ago at how expensive it was to go on holiday to Greece(?) when literally everyone else was telling you it doesn't cost that much, so obviously you pick more expensive hotels...

Not sure how from that you got what I apparently think a "middle class" person earns

What is the benefit of staying at a five star hotel? If youre traveling solo then a youth hostel is the best chance for meeting people your age and making friends

IDK. I've stayed in 5 star hotels and the only difference I noticed was the Concierge and the spruced up rooms. I just stay 4 star normally and i'm content with that.
