Miami has about 400K people and Ft. Lauderdale has 172K. The metro has 5.7 million people, so only about 10% of the population lives in the two "core" cities of the metro area. Talk about urban sprawl.
Lexington is consolidated with its county. The urban area is actually fairly compact; there are places where the downtown skyline is visible from a farm. At rush hour, most main roads look no different from Miami...it just takes place over a much smaller area.
Our disproportionate congestion is well-documented.
480 squats (96 regular barbell squats, 384 dumbell squats)
192 leg curls
192 leg raises
96 lunges( on each leg, total is 192)
Now that was a brutal leg workout
Here you go alex, 8 rounds is what I did. 12 barbell squats, 48 dumbell squats, 24 raises and curls, 24 lunges; that's 1 set. My friend put me through that. My prefered leg workout would be something like 3 sets of 10 squats at 200. then take a 40-45 dumbell and do 10 squats, broad jump with it across a distance and do another 10 squats at other end then broad jump back, very brutal, do about 6 sets. Then 4 sets on leg press, some leg curls and raises and I'm out.

That alone is a huge difference though, at least in LEX you know you'll be out of traffic at some point in time....in Miami sometimes traffic is backed up for 20-30 miles. It's taken me well over two hours before to drive from DT Miami to my house before (a distance a little over 20 miles) not to mention that traffic is a problem here even well outside of rush hour. I've ran into traffic jams at 3 AM before.

Holy ****. This will be a toughie because I walk/jog/run to the gym and back and my legs will likely be jello after this but I guess I'll drive to the gym this day.
Lol not because I need to. My family and job/school happen to be here. Come on, you know I don't live here out of choice.....I've probably mentioned that about 50,000 times.
C'mon, I didn't expect you to take my comment seriously. Btw I live in a 1 million metro when my preferred range is 5 million+. Not to mention the climate.

Oh ****, sorry lol. Admittedly, today I've been a bit on the grumpy side. My apologies.
Honestly, I think Chicago is like your ideal city.....huge metro with four very solid seasons.
