When pigs fly. Labour have a lot of safe seats, they're going to take a bashing, but they'll remain the opposition.

Unless their own supporters turn on Corbyn. I can see the Lib Dems making huge gains from Lab, Green, and maybe even some pro-remain tories.

They'll make some gains, but at best return to their 2010 levels. Many still don't trust them, and Tim Farron is a poor leader, completely unlikable and intent on turning the Lib Dems into a single-issue party.

Like I predicted a few weeks back my prediction is 390-160 or something like that for the Conservatives. I guess there will be a lower turnout than in 2015 and that could help them even more because as always when turnout is lower, it mostly is due to the younger demographic.

Also many UKIP voters will switch allegiances to the Tories now that the latter party is asking for a 'Hard Brexit mandate'.

One poll the other week had the Conservative popular vote lead at 46-25. I'm sure that might decrease a little bit, but the general prediction from me is 43-27.

Politics is completely relentless over the past 3 years. It's getting really tiresome. A part of me doesn't even want to vote, especially since a) I live in a very safe Labour seat, and b) the outcome of the election is essentially a foregone conclusion anyway.

Someone please, just make it stop.

Why do they need another election? Labour and the Lib Dems are in their weakest position for perhaps decades, and everyone knows it, so her move for an election seems like a self aggrandizing ego stroking activity.

First Brexit, then Trump, then Erdogan, and now Le Pen. The past couple years have been really **** politically. Tired of the paranoia-fueled voting habits

I wouldn't be surprised if turnout was low. There will be a lot of people suffering from 'voter fatigue'. There has been an almost constant bombardment of heavy politics since the Scottish independence referendum in 2014.

You've answered your own question. She smells blood, and she's strengthening her position. Her party currently only has a narrow majority, now it can become a significant majority.
