That's near Santa Ynez/Solvang/Buellton right? That area is pretty nice climate wise. But also south of 35° by a hair (34.93°N). I don't think those Wikipedia normals are correct, being familiar with the area, especially those January lows

Warszawa, isn't Tampere better than Sundsvall?

It's worse than Hudiksvall though

Also I struggle to believe that Warszawa as a cold hater would prefer Sundsvall over Härnösand?

All of the Swedish locations are for the last 13 years, while the Finnish locations are of a real climate normal. Therefore the Swedish locations should be ignored.

When I create the Tampere 2002-2015 averages, it will be warmer than Hudiksvall or Sundsvall.

However the 1961-1990 averages are utterly useless. Blame SMHI, not me

Do the 2002-2015 averages for Tampere then... My experience however from the 1981-2010 averages I've seen in Sweden is that they don't differ that much. I'm very much looking forward to the 1991-2020 normals to be official. If you look at Uppsala from 1991-2014 and 2002-2014 it doesn't differ all that much!

My wild guess of Tampere 2002-2015:

July 22.8/12.0
February -2.9/-9.0

It is. The airport is so wrong for a Sundsvall station. Located both inland in an east coast location where inland hardly matters for heat in summer, but does for cold in winter, and 30 km north (!) of the place. I think Sundsvall is somewhere around Hudiksvall, maybe 0.5 C cooler.

Tbh I do suspect that something is a bit off with the Swedish data cause compare Malmo with Copenhagen which is just across the river, Malmo has significantly warmer summer for some reason
