Marseille and it's not even close. Comfortable year round. Winters are arguably better than Atlanta's. Spring and fall could be better with slightly warmer temps but as is they lead into a nice but noticeably warm summer.
In terms of summer weather alone I'd give the slight edge to Chicago for the humidity and thunderstorms, but Marseille trounces Chicago in every other category.
The average midsummer dew point is about 2°C lower at Marseille-Marignane than at Chicago-O'Hare. I bet the difference between the city centers is less since coastal Med locations are quite a bit muggier than inland ones, and the airport is separated from the sea by a small mountain range. The dp is more variable in Chicago though.
Btw, this forum lacks a Rennes vs Los Angeles battle. Or is there already one?
I don't understand why Chicago is supposed to be one of the worst climates in North America.
Too cold? Grand Forks is much colder.
Too hot? Las Vegas is much hotter.
Too hot and too cold? What about Wolf Point?
Too wet? It's nothing compared to Cordova.
So, why is Chicago one of the worst climates in North America? I don't understand.

You would understand if you have been on this forum for a while.
It's basically just a pathetic lash-out at Chicago because people from Chicago in the past (on this forum) have said that Seattle is a crappy climate.
