Ok, 5 images!

Here we go..

1. NAO... Coincidence I think not.

Negative NAO = Blocking in Atlantic which typically means cooler East/Northeast. We been negative. Red lines are ensembles forecast. We continue negative but some signs we finally go positive by mid June. This will allow heat to come north more and break the cloudy pattern. Some members stay negative though. We'll see.

2. Todays Upper Height pattern.

You have a Vortex in Canada (also called an Upper Low), a cold Jet stream cutting across the region and Southeast hot ridge which just cant pop north because of it.

In between you have storms and boundary layer which is causing the rains and clouds mostly in Northeast I think.

3. Fridays Upper Height Pattern.

Vortex still there just spinning and spinning across Ontario and Quebec for days.

4. Mondays Upper height Pattern.

No change.. Vortex and troughiness still in Northeast

5. June 15th Upper Height Pattern. (2 weeks away, can change bigly)

No Vortex/Upper Low and the Ridge can pop north with heat filtering into Eastern Canada and U.S

If the Euro is right, it can't get any worse than this to start off summer

Back in the states!

Got greeted with 90 F with a 72 F dew point , ironically it was also 90 F in Berlin yesterday but was a much drier heat with a much less intense sun angle, plus it cooled off much more at night there. Was in the lower 60s this morning as I was leaving.

Wow George you are getting killed. No winter you like, and now a cool, rainy summer. Maybe next year.

I'm guessing the period of July 2010 until July 2011 was a good period for CG?
