The BBC tv forecast is still going for 30c+ over the weekend.
That is certainly warmer than our forecast also. The warmest in our 7 day NOAA forecast is 80F next Monday (long shot). We are def in a cooler than avg spell, but I really don't mind it. I don't understand why everyone wants large deviations from average. Summer or winter they have no benefit imo.
I believe so, but as I mentioned before, the Met Office and BBC websites are just computer generated so aren't particularly useful, so there's no reason why British posters would value those forecasts more than WO forecasts. Not sure how the weather.com or accuweather forecasts are made, any insight?

To my knowledge both are also computer generated. Maybe TWC relies on multiple models more so than Accuweather, since I believe that it is more accurate... Not sure if they use any human element. Doubt it. It would be next to impossible for so many locations.
However NWS (NOAA) the way it's broken up into regions does indeed put a human element into their forecasts, but rely heavily on the GFS (though probably not exclusively.. IDK). I know WGN one of our local stations blends several models into their forecasts for Chicago and definitely puts a human element into it.
My guess is that London will crack 80 once by the weekend if not twice.
It cracks me up how much time we all spend about London reaching 80F. I enjoyed this thread, but it goes to show there is something about the London climate that makes everyone react. Curious isn't it, or am I the only one that thinks this?
I mean sooner or later they will reach 80F this year, just wondering why when it happens is so important. Whether it happens now or later it doesn't determine what the overall summer will be like. Weather can change on a dime. It could happen in late June and then July and August could end up super above avg, or it could happen in April and the summer be a cool one.
