20% sun is not enough for me. Minimum for delightful is 21% sun with 5 hours of sun over a 24 hour day

Well some people like yourself who are very cold tolerant would be fine I am sure with t-shirt and shorts but I definitely needed a jacket there in summer. I prefer tropical climates myself

Okay, so you would understand that cloud lovers could find 19 hours of sun in 24 hours of daylight, delightful.

San Francisco also benefits from the contrast between the cold ocean current and the extreme heat of California's Central Valley. The result is a pretty steady onshore flow of cool air, pulled in by the stifling hot air inland which rises. This also pulls the famous fog inland onto the city."

Yes, it is a microclimate with cool summers but that should not disqualify it from having a Mediterranean climate in my opinion.
