Also annoying, but I have lived in Upstate New York where the winters are just as cloudy as in Lima so I am accustomed to it. Also the sun usually comes out for 2 or 3 hours every couple of days. We have even had stretches where the sun comes out for hours at a time for an entire week

After a near record arid June (only 0,4 mm) the pattern reversed during this month. July's start in Buenos Aires:

Today we saw an hour of sun after six consecutive rainy days. This week will be a rollercoaster, with a quick warming up by midweek and then a new cold blast in the next weekend. The cold will affect Patagonia first; Bariloche is on heavy snow advisory for Thursday, they will get the dump of the year.

---

I post some photos of a surprising snowfall in western La Pampa province this morning, from La Humada little village:

It also depends on where in Lima you are. Eastern part is usually less cloudy than western part.

Maquinchao back to cold mins: -10.5ºC today. We had some negative mins in the BA province, too. For instance, frost in Mar del Plata (-1.4ºC):

Here the extremes were 3.7ºC-14.3ºC. First sunny day in a week.

---

Now both GFS and euro are agreeing on an upcoming monster snowfall for northern Patagonia, Cuyo and central Chile during the next weekend.

Really Australia? Really? You can't just record it as it shows?? My question is, do they do this for max temps? If max temp is 33.6C will they just enter it as 34C?

Thankfully I am in the Eastern part. Western part is clodier and cooler, La Punta feels cold even in the summer

Biggest cold snap of the year on the way. Exciting. The drop off will be BIG after a possible max of around 25ºC tomorrow and GFS is even seeing a chance of snow for the Pampas! Bring it on!

Maybe sheer stupidity. Maybe a political agenda they want to enforce

Great snowfall possible in Southeastern Buenos Aires coast and flurries in others areas of Argentina and Uruguay.
