Bologna June 2017

Overall a warm month, 2.6c warmer than our rusty 71-00 average, but it was mostly because of the highs, the lows remained within a reasonable range thanks to some cool mornings at the beginning of the month

Extremely dry, for both precipitation and relative humidity. Many low dewpoint days (i.e., below 10c). Windy and sunny too, but no stats about this as usual.

Precipitation: 3.54" (+0.20")
Precipitation days: 12 (+3)

Record low: 48 on the 2nd and 3rd

A pretty average month that was above average mostly due to the lows. It had few extremes with top 10 warmest low max.

Avg high was just 84. Down 4-5 degrees from normal.
But avg low was right on target at 67.
Had a rainy month - 10 inches at KPDK.

Overall summer hasn't been bad at all. Had quite a fool cool nights in the low 60s.

Data for Australian capital cities, each of these are the "official" stations for each city, except Adelaide, which was the official station until recently. Hopefully all the data is correct:

Humidity is 3pm, rainfall days are 0.2mm+

Sydney for comp, even though I've already posted it. It's the cloudiest capital city of the year so far!

Melbourne sun data comes from Melbourne Airport, which is considerably further inland than the CBD, so I'm not too sure about attaching that data to this station, but there's nowhere else that records sun in Melbourne.

The main Brisbane station is missing two rain days in March, which just happened to be the two days that Cyclone Debbie affected the city, so I used the data from two airport stations (Brisbane Airport and Archerfield Airport) because they're both about the same distance from the CBD, but in NE and SW directions respectively. And I averaged both days between the two stations and added them to the March rain total. It's probably not very accurate, but I'm not sure how else to do it. Brisbane Airport recorded about half as much rain as Archerfield Airport for those two days, so using just one of those stations would have skewed the data too much.

Perth

There's a new official station in Adelaide (the old West Terrace station brought back to life). Apparently the Kent Town station will continue to be in use for the rest of the year though, so I'm gonna stick with that until the end of the year, then switch to West Terrace/ngayirdapira next year. The name "ngayirdapira" translates to "concerning the sky" in the Kaurna language (the original inhabitants of the Adelaide area).

Hobart

Canberra is the only capital city with no sun data.

Philadelphia International Airport

High: 84.1 (+1.4)
Avg: 74.6 (+1.3)
Low: 65.2 (+1.2)

Ninth June in a row above average. Screw it why don't we just go for 10? I honestly don't have any hope for this month anymore.
