6:15am temps for the south.. I wouldn't of known those 40s in Texas was that much below normal till I looked at the departure map. The 43° in Waco, Texas is 16 below normal for the hour. The 38° in San Angelo is 18 below normal for the hour.
You can see the front hanging around near the SE coast
82 will feel like Jan weather and i would love to see a 82, but i am calling for a high of 85 in my area.
This is insane jane. I can post over 38 years of my Oct's highs and lows with my records and nothing has come close to this Oct. More than well above normal. Looks at them 92's plus's and 90's day after day. And not one low near 69.
Did anyone else notice the 4 consecutive days of sub-90 highs, and even an 82, the first week of October?

Cloudy days ray. Look at my sunshine %'s and there ya go. Clouds = cooler days. But now run the figs on the highs and lows and look how above normal Oct has been so far for my area. And look at the last 3 Octs and how above normal they have been.
All models agree on this front next Tuesday (7 days away), it's after that they vary with details.
But one thing they are all agreeing on is that the Jet stream digs down with some cold Canadian air. Just don't know how deep, how cold, how far East/West the axis is, ect, ect.
This map is for Wednesday afternoon/evening.. If you look at the 850mb temps (different map) you'll see its not below freezing in NY but is over Ohio and WV at this time. So any precip that is falling would be snow for above 3,000 feet over there. As the 850s crash below freezing pushing East, the precip dries up.
Things could get exciting with storms, fronts, and cold blasts but I wont go past 7 days yet

Nice! Wow, very chilly morning for you! I was in a rush this morning and didn't check my PWS for the low, I'm excited to get home to see what it was. The ground looked actually frozen so I may have hit 28°
