Well it's one of the top rated shows in the UK... I have some Australian TV channels as part of my IPTV package & on the 'sister' digital channels of the main networks literally every other show is a UK one
Australian TV is disgraceful, their cricket team must take inspiration from it. Literally full of ads (though US is even worse).
UK TV shows in general are very popular in Australia & New Zealand, pretty much all the decent/high rating shows are aired down under...
British/American shows form the bulk of the viewing here, then Australian and NZ shows.
I grew up with shows like the Tomorrow People, Land of the Giants, Coronation Street, The Waltons, Fawlty Towers, Bewitched, the Generation Game, the Donny and Marie Show, and of course, the ultimate ..... Planet of the Apes.
British shows feature prominently on TV here, all the comedies, the crime genre, and those real estate shows. My favourites being Fawlty Towers and Mr Bean. That is what real comedy looks like before the PC cancer overran society.
FREAKING DADDY LONG LEGS SPIDERS!!! These bloody things and their masses of ugly webs, no matter how much I try to get rid of them, they are back at a moment's notice, god it's a never ending battle
Apparently, these benign, anorexic-looking spindly spiders eat Redbacks, whitetails, Black House Spiders, and other poisonous species Who the fuq would've thought!!! They are useful to some extent, but not when my place looks like the Addams Family house every time lol
Any australians watched the AFL season recently (or any non-australians who know what the afl is), very exciting season so far, basically no truly good team and no truly awful team.
