When we had the eclipse in the UK back in 1999 the glasses were given free with loads of different newspapers & magazines, was very easy to get hold of them...

I tried to sign up at a library and they told me all they've been booked since June lol.

I couldn't find anything all month, but I got lucky at the last minute on Friday, got a 5 pack for $15.

It's depressing to think that summer is very nearly over.

Yeah, it's a random town of like 35,000 in the middle of nowhere. There would be nothing to do.
Alice Springs actually has a about 28,000 people. What's available in town is what you have to live with. Pretty much anywhere between Alice and Darwin are all small, abo crime ridden holes, and the next proper town heading south is Port Augusta, at which point you may aswell add that last 5% of driving time and be in Adelaide. Unlike here, no driving an hour or two to a bigger place for a wider range of facilities. Lots of problems with crime there apparently and the remoteness is ridiculous. Also, the bottle shops are only open from 2pm-9pm and are closed on Sundays!!! Apparently you also have to get your ID scanned at the bottle shops and I heard you can only buy a certain amount of alcohol a day That's reason enough to not live there.

Property prices are ridiculous, like this, you can rent a glorified prison cell for the bargain price of $350 a week! https://www.realestate.com.au/proper...llen-415740831

Those are some completely brilliant alcohol laws, and should be implemented everywhere. I think there should be some kind of card which needs to be scanned to br able to buy alcohol, a card which could get suspended for those who abuse and misuse alcohol.

It's not like we've been skimping. Västerbotten's county, atleast so far in 2017 has taken twice the amount of asylum seekers as Stockholm's county relative to population size. I'd be interested to see a map showing Sweden's counties and how many refugees they've taken relative to their population.

I have no job, no life, nothing. I don't wanna live. I also can't finish my department at university. It's my 6 years at university and I am unable to graduate from the university. My damn department is chemistry. **** Chemistry. It is so ****ing difficult. Nobody gives you a part-time job in Turkey. I will give up University. There is no other way.
