For the Northeastern United States, the NWS will be introducing a new warning type, the Snow Squall Warning. Like Severe Thunderstorm, Flash Flood, and Tornado Warnings, they will be a short-fused warning type, and the NWS is potentially considering adding them to the list of warning types that will activate Wireless Emergency Alerts.

In Arizona, Dust Storm Warnings will switch from a zone-based warning to a polygon-based warning.
