Still quite far out, but fingers crossed!
I was talking about the snow events being shown on the maps now but NICE! I'm about 1 month away from frost potentials here.

Precip total this year so far.
Hartford has 42.86", near the annual normal already with 3.5mths still to go

Philly has 40.87". Annual normal is 41.53"
Pittsburgh has 42.68". Annual normal is 38.19"

Check it out.. A storm comes from the Rockies and heads through the Midwest and into Canada. While up in northern Quebec, it produces a snowstorm up there Friday.

Also.. that spot I circled sees snow for 3 days straight maybe. (This Thurs-Fri-Sat)

Next week... cool downs come down...but probably brief as usually is this time of year.

Most of them areas have had more rain than i have. What a sorry summer i had for rain. Way below normal like i called it last spring. Had a reverse west windflow 95% of the summer and i called that also. Would like a stuck Cat 1 cane or TS to make up for the rainfall i never did get and give me 15" to make up for the short fall.

That pattern change will be greatly appreciated up here although I note GFS is showing a return to the current pattern by October 5. Still a long way out though.
