See the Ocean Effect Snow Showers out there? Street Clouds! -20C at 5000' even 300 miles off shore.

NYC 5°
Boston 6°
Nantucket 9°
Philly: 12°
Richmond 20°
Raleigh: 21°

All with sunny skies!

neat streamers over the ocean; cold air over the ocean created lots of clouds.

========================

moist air mass with the storm warmed up Mt. Washington followed by a temperature crash. Not that windy yet, should start blasting soon. Odd the wind is not much faster up there than on the surface further south. Not much pressure contrast up north or aloft?

Berlin, NH in the valleys is reporting -6°F and snow. This guy in the Green Mountains reported snow at even colder temperatures

yea, it's a really potent cold air mass and strong wind is letting it penetrate further. temperature map further north gives a good perspective on where the cold/warmth is via @rcbstormpost

I just went for a 6k jog in central park. There are still many cyclists out there! I guess they don't care. About to go for a ride to Costco myself.

12 noon and it has warmed up to 9F. Toasty

12:30pm. Upper Level Low over the Region. Surprised there's not more snow showers around.

Had flurries before so maybe the sun is helping the instability more.
