Death valley in California or Unalaska in Alaska.
Death valley is dry and hot, whereas Unalaska is wet and cold.

what?? 47 celsius??? theres actually a month where the average high is 47 celsius????? are you freaking joking me???

That alone is enough to make this lose against almost any weather. Put this against Winnipeg and Winnipeg will win by far. No wonder why that place from hell is called Death Valley!!!

Anyways, i looked the unalaska temperatures and they seem like heaven compared to this.

Of course UNALASKA wins.

And DEATH VALLEY competes for WORST CLIMATE EVER

Unalaska looks nowhere near as inhospitable as Death Valley, so I'd go with that any day. It actually looks very similar indeed to stats you'd get on a northern English hilltop around 2000ft.

At least they have a winter where temps are comfortable (though the 0F December record low looks dodgy), look up Dallol in Ethopia and tell us what you think!

Death Valley for 200 Alex

I've felt heat higher than Death Valley's July average high on many occasions, plus it's a dry heat and only for a few months. I'd be miserable in Alaska all year round.

I love heat but I think Death Valley is a bit too extreme for me (since it's super hot every single day), however I'm sure NYC's cold is more uncomfortable to me yet I deal with it for 2.5 to 3 months. Living in Death Valley I'd probably be inside less in the summer than I am in NYC for the winter. 115 degrees (DRY, so more like 105).....NYC's Real Feel temperature was as high as 114 less than 2 weeks ago.

Somewhere in Siberia would be a more "equivalent" extreme. Unalaska is pretty similar to Ushuaia, cool and wet year-round, but not anything that would cause death like being out in the sun of Death Valley during the hottest days.

Death valley isn't anything too extreme for hot climates, considering that there are much hotter inhabited areas in the Middle East and Africa, Kuwait City for instance. The last time I checked, Kuwait city was hotter than Death valley.

To repeat what has been repeated on endless forums (and probably several times also on this one) - that 134F record is regarded as unsound. As of course is the "record" reading from Azizia.
