Sorry for another post about London today lol but I just checked the climate box on wiki and it now has snow totals. It says it gets 18 inches of snow a year, with almost 10 inches in January. Best to say this is completely false!

London does not get 18 inches of snowfall per year. What utter nonsense. Heathrow gets about 2" per year. Those stats originate from an NOAA source, the Met Office doesn't record average snowfall.

I doubt Heathrow has ever seen 18" of snow. It certainly didn't in 1963, 1986 or 2010.

Most years it doesn't. Average for the centre of London is <1".

Cant tell if you're being sarcastic or not but the stats are very very wrong

Lol, that would put it almost on par with my area. Our seasonal average is about 22 inches of snow.

As a lifelong Londoner, I remember maybe 18 months to 2 years ago, there was maybe 7 or 8 cm on my wife’s car, other than that there have been occasional flurries, but 1963 was the last time we had plenty.

Yeah, in people’s dreams, or if you HAD to drive, nightmares.

Wow, that's really infrequent even compared to the city center of Seattle. How do other cities in the UK compare to downtown London? I'd imagine the only other comparably snowless places would be on the immediate southern coast or small islands.
