Yes, obviously it's more like Minneapolis. Gainsville gets freezes, Miami doesn't...Miami is TROPICAL PARADISE (Rick Santos said so) with t-r-o-p-i-c-a-l sun angle, end of story . Other places at Gainsville's latitude hardly freeze, what a climate fail...definitely not a US South subtropical paradise. Even New Zealand has a subtropical environment with avocados raining down! Also, palm trees.

Gotta do my part in keeping these trainwreck threads alive LOL. But don't invade the nice people on palmtalk please

This can't possibly be serious can it....., I don't understand what the problem is with having a serious discussion on this thread to address the arguments being left unaddressed in the main thread - unless you'd like to address them in the main thread and fix the trouble that necessitated making this thread?

Otherwise, you are proving the point of making this thread.

Grow up, get some common sense and pull up your socks.

Yes, a fair call - avocados not only need minimal frost (only 39 frosts annually where I am), but just as importantly the need for sufficient daytime warmth during the cold months, to continue ripening fruit.
