None of you is a huge way off in terms of physical distances. Does that help?

Rio is a fairly good match for temperature, but is wetter. Mexico City is at a high altitude and the temperature seasons are opposite. Wavehunter's comments are "interesting".

I'm gonna say Lima, Peru?

Edit: It can't be Lima.

Is it the Atlantic Coast of Angola?

You're both getting very much warmer now! - in terms of concept. Given that I said the earlier 3 weren't a huge way off, it should be clear which of those continents (South America, South Africa) is nearer. Huge hint next time!

Quito, Ecuador?

The warmest and rainiest time of year is after the southern hemisphere summer solstace in you stats,
so I figure it's somewhere less than 15 degrees from the equator.

(Jamaica is still far enough north that July is one of the hottest months, and I believe it is slightly-cooler by Septemer or October. )

Too hot for Quito I'm afraid, but not vastly far away in distance! Massive hint: 2/3 of the earth's surface is.....

You got it!

Rainfall values in the Galapagos vary a little, but the basic "shape" doesn't vary much. It's an arid zone in the ocean - of course there are desert areas and even hyperdesert zones in the oceans.

The coolest temperatures correspond to the "garua" period of foggy stratus that the Peruvian coast gets.
