Honestly, it would not surprise me one bit if climate had something to do with it. Southern states do in general have way more crime and poverty than Northern states. Maybe hot weather makes people hot-headed?

Oops... I made the mistake of tuning on The Weather Channel today. Decided I would watch since the channel guide said they were actually showing the weather instead of a reality show for once.

Anyway, I was greeted by rap music on the local on the 8s, and then several minutes of Dallas this and Dallas that... with no mention of Fort Worth at all (the 16th largest city in the US, btw), even though the radar was zoomed into both cities. And that's despite the Fort Worth area getting more snow over the past two days than the Dallas area.
