Yes, it is somewhere in my closet in my bedroom at my parents house... I did get rid of my first one though, I figured it would be bad luck to keep that around.
I'm not married yet, but the only way you'd get me into a 'traditional' white wedding dress is either by physical coersion or mass sedation. My best friend is going to be making me a very nice dark green 40s style dress when me and the old man decide to tie the knot
My mother was married in her prom dress (1 year and 12 days after her prom) because she didn't have the money for a new dress. She still has it, and it's still beautiful. My dad wore a 3 piece courderoy suit...we don't have that anymore.
My mom made my gown, I designed it. It was very simple, I hate lace and froo froo crap so it was simple, elegant and YES I absolutely have it. Her and I put alot of work into that dress even though it cost only about $60 in fabric.
Yup, preserved in a box inside my coat closet, petticoat hanging in my daughter's closet. Keeping it in case she wants to wear it when she gets married. She's only 15 so it's a long ways away....
Still have it, it is many sizes too large for me, and since the marriage ended in divorce I really should give it to Goodwill!
