Someone told me that Tequesta schools were good, but when I look them up (i.e. greatschools.org) I can't find any information. What city would this area be considered? I thought Tequesta was it's own town but maybe the schools are in a different address? Or is it part of Jupiter? Thanks for any help.

Tequesta is its own town not part of Jupiter but the students go to Jupiter schools. Most will go to Lighthouse elem. but some on the southern/eastern most part of tequesta go to Jupiter Elementary. I live in Tequesta and am looking to buy in Jerry Thomas' district that IMO is the best school in Jupiter. Tequesta is the best place to live though expensive 250,000 average and up anything under is a crap hole. hope that helped.

Palm Beach County is the school district. School districts are county-wide in Florida. Thus there are no Tequesta schools or Jupiter schools. When I moved to Florida, I was told that the "Jupiter" schools were the best, but what you aren't told is that it is a county wide system and they can re-district or re-draft the school boundaries and change your child's school any time. It's not like other systems you may be accustomed to in other states where you vote your millage and have more of a local school system.

The county based schools are, IMO, one of the worst things about Florida.
