Is anyone familiar with Valencia Pointe? It's a 55+ development in Boynton Beach. Seems a bit expensive but is it worth it? Any other 55+ communities in the area that are nice?

You can also try Bellagio. I'm a Broker in the area and see a lot of foreclosures in both. Now is the time to buy. Feel free to contact me with any questions about the area.

I am very familiar with Valencia Pointe, as I am a "55 and Over Community" specialist in the Boynton Beach area. Valencia Pointe is a fantastic community. I have many clients who live there and love it!!!! The prices have dropped significantly since your first post. I recently wrote a BLOG on the Valencia communities by GL Homes. You can view the Blog at ***MOD CUT*** Bellaggio, the community mentioned in a previous post is also a fabulous community.

I know a couple who just rented a house there. They are renting from some people who bought in during construction and could never sell it. So, check to see what percentage are renters. They also liked Bellagio, but got a good deal at Valencia.

I don't think they do. I believe (I could be wrong) Cascades and Venetian Isles may. I can check further for you if you are interested.
Comparable homes built in the late 90's early 2000's.

To the best of my knowledge, all the Valencia communities allow large pets. Some of them have restrictions on the number of pets for each resident. Skylinet is correct, both Venetian Isles and Cascades also accept large dogs. All rules are subject to future change.
