Here is the latest news from ESPN.

Report: Big East to double exit fee, invite four schools in expansion - ESPN

Football only would be Boise State, Air Force, and Navy. While UCF is considered for all sports.

Personally I think Boise State will turn down the offer, plus that is the most unheard of invite I've ever seen! 1,400 mile to Louisville!!!!

Here is my own picks to make it 12

all spots

UCF
Houston

football only

NAVY
ECU
Air Force
Ohio

You almost had it right Chris, scratch Ohio and add SMU though.

I wouldn't add SMU, they have less to offer han OHIO or Temple for that matter.

Not that I wouldn't want to kick Boise State's butt every year, but I think that they should stay West.

SMU (and Houston) add Texas... or rather, TEXAS. Lots of athletes to recruit, lots of TV viewers to make the networks happy.

Temple was kicked out of the Big East a few years ago, for having a too-small stadium and too low attendance. I don't think they've done anything to fix that since.

True, but SMU has sucked the past 10 years, and Temple has been above average. Temple also plays in an NFL stadium and has increased its attendance over the last years. The Eastern PA/Philly area has good talent too. Ohio has put together a good program in the past few seasons.

Houston is all the Texas we need, too much would be bad for the conference.

Of course, neither SMU, Ohio, or Temple actually got invites so it really doesn't matter. LOL

Yeah... we ought to make them throw out all the conferences, and start over from scratch.

I'm not trying to defend Temple, but they have been playing some or all of their home games in Lincoln Financial Field. (Eagles stadium)

Attendance probably still stinks thought.
