WVU and Morehead State will be the first game played on the Civic Center's new floor. The "used" floor has only seen four games, which were during the 2010-2011 Women's NCAA Final Four. The floor features a large orange state in the middle with Friends of Coal written in it, and three coal miners in the background. It has blue "paints", and a black outline with Charleston printed underneath the baskets.

looks tacky. I hate floors with oversized midcourt logos. UCF's is the worst, but this isn't too far behind

I agree with that, but the logo itself is cool.

I wish the logo was half the size they made it. Its definately tacky, and very distracting. Watching a game on tv or from the upper deck will be very difficult to follow the flow of the game in transition due to this massive distraction.

I saw that floor on tv tonight and that is awful. It looks like a huge barf all over most of the floor. The coal association probably got that advertising on the cheap too. The power of big money for all to see.
