We are thinking about moving to Weston. It seems like we'd get more house for our money. We currently live in Airville, Pa. Here are my questions: What is the weather like(especially in winter)? What are the schools like? Is there a cyber school available? Anything else I should know? Thans in advance for any info. riverratz

Weston is a very small town, population 5,000 or so. I have never lived there, although I have been there many times. You may be better off considering Clarksburg (20 miles north of Weston). It's bigger, and would probably have more to offer as far as schools, work, etc. Don't know where Airville,PA is but Weston probably doesn't have much of a difference in weather(i.e. four seasons),winters vary, sometimes lots of snow, sometimes mild winters.

Buchannon is on the other side of the Interstate and deserves a look because of Wesleyan College...West Virginia is using the cyber school system, but I know nothing about it...

Rivrratz, Did you move to Weston? I am also considering that area and would appreciate knowing the experience of someone who recently moved there.

I work in Weston and live in Lewis County. If I were moving to the area, I would probably choose to live in the Jane Lew area or a suburb of Weston like McGuire Park (near Wal-Mart). Schools here are good. High School is 10 yrs old, middle school renovated last year to the tune of $6.4 million. More renovations on way for Jane Lew Elementary and Roanoke. The county has seen growth recently due to the oil and gas extraction industry. We also have Wm R. Sharpe Jr. Hospital, a mental health facility. It is among the largest employers in the county. I returned here to live after being gone for 3 decades. I'm glad to be here and have no intention of leaving.
