I need some information on the Lincoln Primary Care Center in Hamlin regarding their doctors and their PAs... It turns out that they weren't doing a thorough check on me... I am in Stage 0 for Cevical Cancer and the person that I was seeing for my screenings said that things were fine... My gynocologist said that things aren't fine and I would like to have as much info as possible so that I can find out wheter or not to contact the medical board on this particular person. I need to know if it just progressed quicker than this person thought it would or if this "mistake" has happened before. I'm scared because I just got married and I have a 3 year old son.. Please help me if you can...
The only thing I can tell you about the clinic is that being in a rural setting like Hamlin, I think most of the doctors are younger and tend to move away after a few years. This isn't much help, I know, but I have never heard anything bad about the clinic.
I have had positive and negative experiences with Primary Care, however I think this is true of MANY places today. Things aren't like they used to be in the medical field for various reasons. You have to be vigilant about your own health and the health of your loved ones no matter where you are. One has to use caution everywhere.
Stage 0 cervical cancer means that there are precancerous changes in the cells. You are lucky to have caught it now. There are numerous treatment options. I've not heard anything bad about the care center. Honestly, I wouldn't blame either the center or the doctor. Changes in your pap smear may have been recent, labs make mistakes, and you can get false positives and negatives on these tests. Good luck with your treatment. Don't be afraid.
