Just wanted to let everyone know that state government is closing at 2PM due to the freezing rain turning to ice here in Charleston and elsewhere.

Can ya'll post how much snow / ice you're getting at your various locations? I can't be there, lol, so I have to live thru you.

Thanks!

In PA, most schools in Greene, Washington, and Fayette counties were closed due to 2-4" of snow in the early morning. Forecast for WPA is 3-6" of snow between now and tomorrow evening, beginning about midnight tonight. Oh, some sleet and freezing rain in there too, just for variety.

2 inches of snow here right now. Ice underneath that. We will probably get more ice and snow here pretty soon. We are staying put for the duration! The roads are a mess here in Doddridge County. I hope they are keeping 50 clear for travelers.

It's a veritable potpourri of winter goop out there.

In Huntington, we've had about 4-5 inches of snow and now have about an inch of ice on top of that. We are still getting ice and this may turn back to snow tomorrow and the next few days. Should be interesting to see how this pans out by the end of the week.

Roads were clear this morning from Saint Albans to Charleston in the commute to work. Side roads were still slushy though. I look for it to get pretty bad this afternoon here in the metro valley if we get the freezing rain that's expected to hit.
